Sunny Sunday

After Kristin being gone all week, we all needed a quiet weekend at home with nothing to do but hang out with each other and catch up on chores. Here a couple of moments from our Sunday.

Most mornings Anders sits on the counter and "helps" while I ready our breakfast. On Sunday he perched a half a lemon on a cup and licked it like a ice cream cone. The kid likes lemons!

Anders has been very interested in golfing since visiting a golf course with Ryan. Ryan, being the sweet dad that he is, cut down and re-gripped clubs to fit Anders. Since then, they have been playing in the yard whenever it's sunny.

Geeking out with slo-mo again. His swing is pretty good!

And, Kristin at 21 weeks pregnant.

No Pants Egg Hunt

Our egg hunt took place directly after and epically long toilet sitting/reading session (we had some success!). So, we decided to keep things diaper free in the case that nature called. He is also sporting his spring crown, an Easter gift from LeAnn and Adela. Cute!

Haircut day

We have been wanting to shave Hazel for a few months to rid her of her dreads and see what it looks like and finally got it together to make an appointment. We walked her to her "salon" early Saturday and Anders was broken hearted to leave her. On the way home he expressed a buring desire to have a haircut as well. It may have been a little early, but certainly not out of the range of acceptable.

Before

After. Hazel was a little bit demoralized as are we. No denying that she's a poodle now! I think, at the most, this will be an annual cut. We have decided we like her hair long.

Take Your Toddler to Work Day

Anders relapsed and threw up all over himself in his crib last night, so clearly he was in no shape to go to daycare today. Unfortunately I had a deadline for a presentation tomorrow and could only finish it up at the office. So, Anders, Hazel and I packed up and set out for the winery this morning. Anders is always stoked to go "to the winery" and was excited when I pointed out Ryan's work on our drive in.

Anders did great. He quietly cuddled in my arms while I did my Monday check-in's with co-workers and happily entertained himself in my office while I finished my presentation. He was especially excited to sit in chairs and pretend to type and use a mouse (neither  were connected to a computer).

Taking in the view

We met some friends in Longbeach, Washington to celebrate their birthday. We stayed right on the water and fortunately had a view of the beach. Unfortunately, Anders was pretty sick all weekend. He threw up as we were getting to leave on Saturday and had a high-ish fever. So, we loaded him up with fever reducer and Anders and I spent a mellow day in the hotel while Ryan dug for clams.

This morning Anders woke in an great mood and with no fever. He and Ryan took in the view from our room.

Unseasonably warm

The big picture of the causes and implications of this weather of terrifying. But, we're doing our best to enjoy every second!

Spying on polar bears at the zoo.

Egging on the conductor with a "choo choo" on the zoo train.

Post nap books on the lawn.

Loving his stance here. He looks to grown-up!
