Today, while grabbing diapers, it occurred to us that maybe we should engage Anders in his toilet experience instead of guessing or bribing him to spend time on it. So, we let him pick out an accessory, which happened to be a Sesame Street themed soft seat that fits on top of our toilet seat. He was very excited. So much so that he walked and carried it all the way to the checkout line (as opposed to being carried himself, his usual preference).
When we arrived home he immediately started upwrapping it and sat right up in the potty. Nothing happened. He climed off and peed in himself and decided to climb back on. Ryan brought him his potty book, which we happily read. In the end, after almost 30 min, he peed on his hands and seat, but there was pee!
