Easter Sunday

Ryan showed his art chops while dying eggs with Anders on Saturday. Anders also tried to drink the die, but fortunately it tasted bad enough to make him wary. 

First thing Sunday Anders "hunted" for eggs in the yard. Although it was less hunting and more is pointing him in the direction of his eggs. 

Then we headed off to spend the day at Poppi's house, where Anders explored, chicken and fish watched, played with dogs and had a good long nap while Ryan and I enjoyed Easter dinner.

On Saturday, we celebrated both the sun, and having a day with nothing to do but hang out together! So, we headed east to Hood River with a quick stop at Bonneville Dam.

Meatballs

Anders helped me shape meatballs and we had a great time! I'm trying to get him involved where possible in the kitchen so we can both have fun in there. Last week he helped wash and dry lettuce, and now meatballs. Not sure what's next. 

Soft Boiled Eggs

Soft (or, for health reasons, medium) boiled eggs are Ryan's favorite breakfast. And, it appears to be the only preparation of eggs that Anders will reliably eat. I think he likes scooping the meat from the shell the most.
