Seven months today!

In the morning, when I wake

Each morning Anders plays by himself in his crib while I (Kristin) shower. And each morning when I get him, I am greeted by this big smile.

Before we left the house on Saturday, Ryan said "if we find a baby jean jacket, we have to get it so Anders and I can match." Well, we sure had a lesson in what happens when you put something out into the universe; behold the matching father and son!

Having a Chat with Santa

I know, it's not even Thanksgiving! But, there was no line and we just couldn't resist. No sign of "stranger danger" yet. Both Ryan and Anders are convinced this is the real Santa Claus (there were other pictures, but "Santa" looks freaky when he stares straight at the camera). He is at Washington Square Mall and Anders tugged on his beard ferociously.

Second Try

After responding to avocado in a similar manner, we thought we'd take a chance (allergic reaction seemed highly unlikely) and give bananas of try. Check out the results.

Celebrating Six Months with an Avocado

Much to our surprise Anders' Pediatrician (who did her residency in Albuquerque!) has declared him long and lean! He is a healthy 16.5 pounds, recovered from his shots like the mellow baby he is and squealed and giggled as his doc played with him. We got a clean bill of health and told it's time for him to start eating! So, we decided to begin with an avocado, which, as you can see, he really liked. Next we'll try some of Nana and Doodah's sweet potatoes and applesauce.

 

Six months
